Happy Birthday Brian & Jacob

The family gathered at Brian & Beckys to celebrate my Brian 30th birthday and Jacob
1st birthday...we had a great time. Becky and Stacy did a great job.

The great pumpkin patch

Well it has taken alot of care just to keep the grasshoppers from eating the pumpkin plants and the extreme HOT 100 plus days from burning them up but they seem to be surviving. Now if they can just produce me a few good size pumpkins for the grandsons I'll be happy.

Nice belated birthday surprise

I got a call this afternoon from a florist in town asking for directions to deliver a flower order...LOL..I asked the usual question are you sure they are for me? Anyway I gave the directions and a beautiful vase of flowers came..
Who is sending me flowers? Wes is eyeing me and saying Not Me!
I opened the card and it was from our friend Holly... that was so sweet of her...

Pams Birthday

Yeah yeah yeah,,I know another year older! Had LOTS of birthday wishes, cards and phone calls for 3 days.
Danny took me to Walmart, so I could pick out what color of new pots and pans I wanted...when I protest he said NO! its only been 20 to 30 years its time mom! PICK A COLOR!
Wes took me to Waco on Saturday so I could eat at Cracker Barrel. We stopped for lunch at Georgies "O"s...its one of those places Wes saw on his TX travel shows. It was decorated in Baylor Bears stuff, which makes sense since its across the freeway from Baylor University. Went to see the DR. Pepper musuem and then drove around to see what Wacos old downtown had to offer...hmm not much there to really see.
Drove around and found the VA clinic and a Barnes and Noble book store. Ended up at Richland mall and walked around there to kill time. Went to Cracker Barrel for dinner, had my fired catfish, green beans, fried okra and apples. Oh and lets not forget the half and half ice tea.... even with it being warm it wasa good day. We stopped at Braum for my favorite, hot carmel and hot fudge sundae with the roasted pecan....Well I can say that I rolled out of the car to the door.
Spent my actual birthday at church all morning and then we had a mission trip presentation and after that had a VBS meeting so I didnt get home til almost 3. Spent the rest of my day relaxing. Wes made dinner and we watched TV.
(Happy 4th everyone!) We just enjoyed the day, not doing much. Well I made strawberry jam and Wes smoke a pork shoulder...just playing on computer and watched TV.
I worked in garden this morning, had 2 small cantolopes ripe. The watermelon and Lara spag squash didnt make it....but...I have PUMPKINS sprouting up tonight! Now I think the grandkids need to come to the great pumpkin patch to pick out which one they want for Halloween when it comes time....

It seems like it was yesterday. I hope the love you two share today is as strong and full of fun as 7 years ago. Thank you for 3 wonderful grandsons, that warms my heart and makes me smile.
