Another surprise today

It was almost 2:00 and another teacher popped her head in and said she had a surprise for me...In walks a young man and Jessica a former student
...Hmmm my mind is speeding a hundred miles a minute for the right name... Oh my!!! Its Mario...he graduated from my class in 1994. All I could do is cry and hug him... What a wonderful surprise...There have been a few that caught my heart thru out the years and he was one of them... Thank You Jessica for getting ahold of him and coming to visit me ....

Surprise!

On Monday I was served McDonald breakfast with coffee, on Tuesday at lunch the secretary came back in the lunch room and said I was needed in the front office, ok so I tootled up there think it was one of our kids...there were flowers for me!!! On Wednesday she took me to Mr. Wok for lunch yummy,,,Thursday I got a box of gourmet cookies and today , Friday there was a beatiful gift bag with a Brighton clock.... all from Velane for classified week and a very special card... It was a hug and cry week.... Thank you Velane...

Todays Project

Today WE would clean out half of the garage so next weekend I can move all the packed boxes into the garage and everything over to the clean side,,,Then I can go thru the other half and clean that out... I also packed all my cookbooks,,,4 boxes worth and packed my records albums, 8 tracks and the cassettes... MC Hammer, Byran White,,Paula Abduol, I dont think these are mine.

Happy Mothers Day

Hope you all had a good weekend... I cleaned out our bathroom cabinet and cupboards...yes I threw out the Vicks Vabor liquid that goes in the humidifier ,,it expired in 92 and all the old curlers and perm rods... LOL

Dad took me to breakfast at Johnny Rebs in Orange this morning..We had Peach Pardoko
(fancy word for TX french toast with cream cheese and peachs.) It was so big we could have split 1 order and still had leftovers. Thank You hunny.
I got alot of text this morning from friends...Teresa, Velane, Holly, Karla, and e-mails from Eileen and Barb... Thanks guys...
I had received a nice card from Lara in the mail on Sat..She always finds the ones that just knows what to say...She called from Vegas. They were celebrating their upcoming 3rd anniversary. Danny had a cute card waitng for me when I got back from breakfast and later on he took my car and got it washed..Thanks Danny,, it really need it. I was deteremined not to do any pack stuff today..I read the newspaper, watched TV and played on the computor all day.. Brian and Becky call this afternoon with their mother wishes,,, They are doing great and even Lil B jabbored at me a couple of times.
Dad barbaqued tri tip with bake pototoes and corn on the cob. It was a nice enjoyable day. Thanks to All....

A Busy week

Well I'm glad this week is over and only 5 more weeks to go...Got thru this first week of testing and only 3 more days left, next week.
I took Tuesday off to be with Deb for her out patient surgery at Kaiser hospital on Tuesday...The dr burned her 4 and 5 lunbar nerves endings in her lower back...
Hopefully this will stop the pain. It went well and she is still a little sore but back to work.... She called today to say she an rash on her basck, like a reaction to maybe the stuff they cleaned her back or the light antisatha they used...she has a rash all over her back and neck. I told her to call the dr..its been 3 days so I not sure thats it...
It could be just her nerves have got the better of her..Its been very stressful with all the events of Monica,,, she moved out the first part of April and up and got married on April 24th. They didnt have any idea and she didnt tell them or invite any of the family to her wedding... Deb and Bob aren't dealing with this too well...
We will work on more packing and painting,,,maybe even get my car wahsed and the backyard done.....

Lunch with the Riners

We went over to visit and have lunch with Mr. and Mrs.Riner (Veisca and Warren)our our next door neighbors on 13th St. With their ages creeping up on them, (Mrs. Riner 89 and Mr. Riner 88) the house and yards were getting to be too much, so they decided to sell their home and move into Claremont Manor, and retire this past Nov. It is a lovely 1 bedroom apartment. They dont cook much, they eat breakfast at home. then go to over to the dining hall at 11:30 for their lunch which is open for 2 hrs (11:30 to 1:30) and they have "their place" they like to sit. For dinner which is 5:30 to 7:30 they are seated with others people in groups of 4 or 6 and they are really enjoying meeting all the different people that live there....
Now this isnt just a dining hall it looks and feels like your on a cruise ship.... your waited on or can go thru the buffet line yourself. The food was good and a nice varity. They go to exericse class a couple times a week and then do some walking on their own around the complex. They are really enjoying their new life. They even have their church right across the street too. Mr. Riners say its time to give up the driving soon. They send their love to all.
