Wes check off food list

We decided to go out for a drive in Wes car... Ended up in Snook, Texas. It 125 miles one way, real nice country roads with lots of cotton and cornfields.
He keeps seeing this place on Diners, Drive in and Dives..they have Chicken Fried Bacon with gravy. Hmmm, not too bad and then Wes ordered a small chicken fried steak meal...we laughed til we saw the people across from us with their Full orders come out...Don't know why he's not hungry....

WELCOME BABY MITCHELL!!!!!

Becky and Brian had their baby this morning, July 20, 2010 at 5:26 a.m. ...(after only 2 hrs of labor- Becky your every lady envy...)
Its a boy, probably going to be named, Jacob W. Mitchell. Sorry, I cant remember what the W stand for...
He weighed 9lbs-7oz. and was 20 1/2 in long. Momma and newest son are doing well.

The BOX the BOX!!!!

Wes finally got the box from Lara and Jim for Fathers Day. They mailed everyone stuff to Brian's since we would be celebrating there but it was returned "UNDELIVERABLE". So Lara separated it and mailed Brian family their box and they got it last Sat. but Wes box didn't come ,,,and didn't come,,, and FINALLY after making Lara some what crazy, it arrived yesterday.
Dad loved it and say Thank YOU..XO

Birthday & Happy 4th

Thank you for all the birthday cards, calls, e-mails... THANK YOU kids for my camera...I was speechless...Dad took me to breakfast and then we all went out for Mexican food...
Aunt Curly came Sunday afternoon. We went to the I.O.O.F. park and watched the fireworks. Monday we just hung out around the house talking about food mostly..I made a big breakfast with bacon, sausage, scramble eggs, fruit and biscuits.
Dad and I fixed a "southern dinner" for Mary. A pot of beans and ham hocks,greens, black-eye peas, fried and boiled orka, cucumbers and onions and cornbread..
Tuesday we headed to see Greenville and Campbell TX. Went by Uncle Tom & Aunt Mary
old house and then to the cemetery..Didnt find granky folks but will keep looking. Went over to Restland in Dallas and checked on the 6 plots to be sold and went to find Granky and her 2 husband graves sites...I went back in to get map of section H and had to fill out paperwork and then "Randy" had to show us where it was...HE was new and didnt even know where H section was, driving us around the long way...according to his map it was 2nd row seven from end...yeah right.. but we found them...
Headed home and met Danny for dinner at the Italian Village...She headed back to Austin about noon, to get her flight. Had a great visit with Mary (aka: Aunt Curly.)

Day 10

Well we are heading back to Alabama...Boys were very good and we enjoyed them immensely. We stopped at every rest stop, about 2 hrs apart and let them run....
Brian was killing me cause he kept saying, Go to Pa-pa house? See cows?...all the way to Alabama.
We'll do it again boys... XO
