Spring is Here!

Ahhh you know spring has arrived ... the flowering fruit trees are blooming, the wild California poppy and lupines are popping up along side the freeways and everything is starting to turn green and as you drive to work in the mornings, you smell all the different fragances of sweet things in bloom. Yep spring is here.

The Plane... the plane...

Wes was out flying his plane yesterday when he didn't quite clear a tree and got it caught up in the very top ...the wind blow it down in the middle of the tree. We couldn't climb the tree and so tried a weight on a fishing line to snag it..no luck... Today we went back to the tree but took 4 - 10ft PVC pipes with us and linked them together...this time we were able to hit it free...Now where are all those rock climbers when you needed one?

A surprise Box

I got this mystery box on Friday. It had the cutest things in it; candies from Cracker Barrel and a CD of Sara Evans songs,,, OH My Apron!
Becky and the boys made for me..It is so cute. Thank You, I love it!
Now all I need is the grandkids to come for a visit, and we'll make cookies...

Another first...

I have taken Lara a couple of times to the hospital, and of course SEVERAL time with Brian but Danny... NEVER... today I had to drive him out to the VA Hospital cause of his back... They have some strange people out there...I 'm hoping they are patients and not employees. Anyway they gave Danny a shot and some tynelol for pain...he came out in more pain than when he went in...hes such a big baby but he's Momma's boy.

A Favorite Place

Here is one of our favorite places to go camping, Thornhill Broom.
Its between Malibu and Venture. Its just a beach so you need to be self contained or rough it in a tent. There is water by the check station and pit toilets.
The beach has alot of rocks...We sit out there and watch the pods of dolphins and a few seals go by. And then there are beautiful sunsets. You go to sleep with the surf crashing over the rocks. Its just great!
