Wes and I went to this year Brushie Prarie Homecoming. It is always held on the last Sunday of the month of June. We met couple of of men, Sam Thompson and Mr. Raley. Both who knew of Tom, Buster and Mut French. Wes enjoyed swapping stories. Yes that is one of 2 Outhouse that is still used today. There is a small plague on the pulput that reads,
The Pulpit
A Memorial
to TELL WOODALL
by Tom French,
Edmond French, Katie French,
Lorene Hendericks
and Carl Shepperd, designner and builder.
There were 36 people there and from the French clan there were about 8 of us. I didnt get a nice picture of the front of church so I used a old previous picture. It was a nice church service and as we sang some old hymnal favorites. I could picture Mary Etta French- Mitchell- Moore and her children there on a Sunday. It was nice to recall that all of them were a part of this little church and babtized there.
