Well this has been a fast month...
We had 1 storm come in and gave us 12 hrs of thunder and lightning and 5 1/2 inches of rain. The creek turned into a river and the stock tank on the property behind us overflowed and of course we had a huge Mitchell Pond in the front yard.... Great timing after we dry out for Wes to try out his new airater and dethatcher attachments for his mower. We are still working on big garden. Getting ready to put in tomatoes.
We got a box from Larry of some things of Aunt Kathryns..I put her cup and saucer right next to Marys.
I finished the Alabama baby cross stitch crib blanket and birth announcement. Now we just waiting for her arrival next month.
We had 3rd Sunday lunch and I decorated the fellowship hall in GREEN,, of course. This was my month to clean the church.
Danny has come over couple of times to set up the kids pool for the summer. We started going on Sat am to watch Ethan at his soccer games.
The youth boys from church delivered one of the old pianos from church. Its from the 1930/1940. Now I can learn to play...
Dad and I went to the official 1st Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony at the courthouse on the 29th.... then we went over to Blooming Grove, (pop 833)for the replacement of a POW flag..It was a long time coming for Vietnam Vets to be recognized for their service.. Thank you Vietnam Veterans, and Welcome Home...
And to end this month we went out, just to look at truck and see whats out there...
Wes came home in 2012 1/2 ton Silverado picked...Lots of bells and whistles. We got the running boards put on and Wes even has a built in phone...no more worring about him...
Well we might not have won the Mega lottery but we are very blessed....

Rose Garden
It took us a week to do this project. We pulled out the telepone pole piece border, till everything up,and kill those red ants. Wes measure and calulated how deep to dug for our double 25lbs. brick pavers. (Trinity Harvest color) Took us 2 trips to Home Depot to get them home with 3 exlarge bags of peat moss. Then we went shopping for the roses: bought 12- 2 of each: Double Delight is a yellow center with red tips, Mr. Lincoln is dark red, Montezuma is coral, Lowell Thomas is yellow, Paul Neyrin is light pink, and Queen Elizabeth is med to dark pink. (Would like to find a Cabbage rose- its purple). Got half planted late yesterday afternoon and the other half planted this morning. Went back to Home Depot for 10 bags of cypress mulch which we used one 8 bags. and then put out in our solar lights.
Looks great...now for the other side..Wes is growning....
