A fast and full week
Well this has been a crazy week. We started the week by having Monday off and followed by the Presidential Inagration, which we watched on TV in class and the big surprise was one of our teachers, Blenn became engaged... YEAH !
On Thursday Danny brought over his girlfriend, Holly to met us and had dinner with us. She is a very outgoing young lady and hope she enjoyed the visit.
Today it is little rainy. Our principal, Mrs, Savage returned after her 3 month recovery from hip surgery. It was also TGIF after work and I surprised the girls by going..which I haven't done in 20 yrs.... It was fun.
Looking for the weekend to continue looking threw things and cleaning things out.

Help !!! All those treasures
Oh my goodness... I decided this weekend I'd work on the project of cleaning out just 1 dresser drawer and the cedar chest. Well one thing rolled into another and another...and I before I knew it I had piles of piles things of and for the kids, scrap booking things I have saved for that someday I would do the scrapbook of things Wes and I have gone and done over the past 28 yrs...
You know you have to look at and read everything to make sure its really not something important... heaven forbid you throw it out after all these years being ion a box or draw...LOL... and yes some things I just couldn't get rid of...
It was a roller coaster days of many memories, Ahhhs, laughter and tears going thru all that stuff... I finally got it organized and put in the correct boxes and even throw away a large bag of stuff.... I think I do another project tomorrow and see what treasures I find.

Road to Calif Quilt Show
We met Everett and Jeannie and her mom at the quilt show...Jeannie has tried for the past few years to get her mom to this event but her mom has always been in hospital every time it comes up..Glad she was able to come see it this year and she was enjoyed it. She did great for being almost 89 yr old.
There were too many vendors and not enough quilts... but we had a good time.
On a sad note..the company that make the glass quilt holders will be retiring within the next 6 months...We went to lunch at Famous Daves Bar B Q... It was a nice day.

Blessings & Happy New Year for 2009
I wish all of you blessings for 2009.
I met with Aunt Deb for coffee at Cocoa's and exchanged our gifts.
We went up to Lara and Jims for New Years Eve. We had our Christmas with them..
Lara saw the sewing machine in the closet.... sneaky Lara!
We decided we needed to go get dinner so we went to the Cocky Bull for dinner. We all had burgers or hot wings.
My camera quit working so I didnt get any pictures of the New Year Eve party.
Danny was out playing poker at some casino so he missed celebrating with us this us.
Jim folks and Jr, Jennifer and her family came about 7:00ish.. The ladies sat around and visited, ate munchies, looked thru magizines, and played 2 games: Skat and Scatorgories. The guys mostly ate and watched footballand started plsying poker about 9:00. When midnight came, we wish everyone a Happy New Years and toasted with Sparkling Cider then let the kids do poppers outside. We finished up the night with a skit /cheer from the kids for all the adults... I think the inlaws, outlaws, and dogs were in bed by 12:30...lol
We got up about 7 ish and had coffee and started breakfast of biscuits and gravy and bacon and eggs while watching the Rose Parade and fliping back and forth from football game to football game
.
I helped Lara set up her NEW sewing machine and about 11 a.m. Wes and I headed for home.
We have enjoyed all of the holidays and Happy New Year to all....
