Happy 25th Anniversary

Wow I cant believe Aunt Deb and Uncle Bob have been married 25 yr today...Where has the time gone but good for them...Heres to another 25 yrs. together.
They have new changes in their lives... both the girls have moved out on their own so they are empty nesters and Bob started a new job.

Another weekend

I thank God that my second mammo and ultrasound last Wed. didn't show whatever the dr thought they saw...
Well we didnt go to the Cowboy Festival on Sat since Wes back is still giving him problems.
I spent the weekend doing laundry and breaking down the quilting frame and pack it up and all the quilting stuff, in the boxes. Man we have alot of quilting stuff...and ALOT of pictures....I did get to the Goodwill and turned in 5 boxes.
We went to Nancy Cafe today for lunch. She has reopened the cafe and is back in business. Same hours open 7 days a week from 6 a/m to 2 pm. She is a proud new grandma, her 5th grandson, born on April 20th...they named him Rush.
Go in and support her business.

Another fast weekend

Spent Saturday taking and packing everything I could out and taking things off the walls on the downstairs half of house... (except for the kitchen) that will be a whole new undertaking for another time.
Dad and I decided to go out to dinner at OUR Northwoods Inn Restaurant in Temple City. All the little speciality shops behind was gone and a KOLNs is beside it with a huge parking lot.
It was 6:30 p.m and we walked in and got sitted, no waiting nothing... We had our halibut dinner..It was very good.

Sunday... Happy Birthday to Mrs. Riner. She is 89 yr old. I sent a card from all of us...
Danny got 2 tickets from his boss for the Long Beach Grand Prix, so he and Dad were off to the races for the day. I went up to Lara and Jim's. We were suppose to go see the Poppy's but the winds last week didn't them all in, so we went shopping and then to lunch.. I headed down the hill about 3:00, not bad traffic but by the time I got to bottom of hill it was HOT! It was cooler up at Lara... Its 95 down here at 5 p.m. Guess we are going to have a hot spell for the next few days...no-no-no I'm not ready for hot yet...where is my 70s and 80s...

Strange week

Well this has been a strange weather week. It has gone from mid 50's cold and very windy on Tues, to 70's on Thurs and suppose to be in upper 80s or low 90's for the weekend...
I got my official letter from CalPers today, that they received my retirement application. Even thou the district hasnt accepted my resignation for retirement yet. Only 2 months from today...or 41 working days...but whos counting
Another good thing is that Dad got my drivers window fixed temporarly... it seems the cable broke and he will check to see how much a new one will cost or go get one from the junk yard. But for now its up and I dont have to worry about it...

Happy Easter

It was a great day to rejoice. The weather was good. Wes was up at 6:30 and started his fire to smoke a pork roast...I made Danny his biscuits and gravy...I made my Easter phone calls..Deb and Bob werent home, talked to Lori Lee and they are doing fine. Lara and Jim came over around 2:00 and we sat around visiting while waiting for the ham and got the last minute things to get done for our dinnerat 4:00. It was very good Wes... We played Mexican Train dominos for about a hour and was having pie when Brian called. They had company over for dinner and watched a movie. Glad he was able to chat with everyone for a few minutes...Glad lil B had a good time with his car from Aunt Lara.
Lara and Jim headed back to his folks to get the dogs and go back up the hill...
Yes, Lara got all the eggs AGAIN! She took them all out of the table decoration and hid them behind the TV... This year I gave them their personal childhood Easter baskets and plastic eggs,,, that I had saved all these years...Brian, yours is your bin waiting for you... Well blessing to all. Happy Easter.

Spring Break

Well its my last Spring Easter vacation. I dont think I got much done, only a few boxes packed and worked on the kitchen a little. I watched Lara dogs Tues and Wed., worked on my cross stitch, did laundry and hung out with Danny on Thur. Dad and I have eye dr appt today. It finally rained a little over night. I'll finish up the grocery shopping for Easter dinner. Will keep it simple.

Another Adventure Day

And guess who's name got called for the $700. Blackpowder Gun Raffle...yep Dad...probably was he wasn't there and forgot to leave his raffle tickets with his friend, Dave..






We met Jeanne and Everett at Flo's at Chino Airport for biscuits and gravy then we all went out to Prado Park to watch the Civil War Re-enactment. Wes and Everett have a friend from work, Dave Tibbs, who is in the 1st Virginia...Wes and I were in this hmm,,, 25 years ago up at Ft. Teton... sure brought back some fond memories...We left there about 6p.m and headed over to a Basik restraunant and had dinner...Was a nice day...

April Fools!

Well for my April Fool's joke this year, since it was my last one at school I picked on Velane, my teacher,,,again. Just had to get her one more time...
I drafted up a fake letter from the district saying they were transferring me to another location after spring break and put it in a official PUSD envelope.
Velane came in this morning and I'm at my desk and just hand her the envelope...

She starts reading it, the more she reads, the more she hyper-ventilates and moves backwards and tears are starting...As she finishes the letter shes just standing there crying and is speechless...
Another teacher and I are saying ..Keep reading,,,READ the NEXT PAGE! She finally turns the page to see "April Fools!"
She lost it , she throws the paper at me and say bad words to me and then grabs me and CLINGS to me,,, sobbing... LOL Ok ,,, she is well known for her tears but WOW!

We gave her, her coffee and some Amaretto coffee cake and had her sit and chill out ... After awhile she said ,,, Man your got me! But I will get you back...
I reminder her I could have put another dead lizard in her desk...
